Global Cry is operated by MOTV8 LIMITED. This website uses a limited number of cookies and similar technologies required for the site to operate securely and correctly. We do not currently use cookies for behavioural advertising or visitor profiling.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store on your device. Cookies can be used for essential website functions, remembering choices, measuring website use or supporting advertising and other third-party services.
Cookies used by Global Cry
Global Cry currently uses only cookies and similar technologies that may be required for core website functions, security, WordPress administration and ecommerce functionality where relevant.
These may include technologies used to:
- keep the website secure and help prevent abuse;
- support WordPress login or administration functions for authorised users;
- maintain necessary session or shopping-basket functions where WooCommerce requires them;
- remember strictly necessary technical choices needed for the site to work correctly.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, behavioural advertising cookies or visitor-profiling cookies on Global Cry.
Build Your Kit planner storage
The Build Your Kit planner can save your selected plan and checklist progress using local browser storage on your own device. This is used only to restore the planner when you return. The planner information is not submitted to Global Cry and is not stored in a Global Cry user account. You can remove it at any time with the planner’s Reset planner control or by clearing site data in your browser.
Affiliate and external links
Some Global Cry articles contain affiliate links to third-party retailers, including Amazon. Clicking an affiliate link takes you away from Global Cry to the retailer’s website.
The retailer may then use its own cookies, analytics and other technologies under its own privacy and cookie policies. Global Cry does not control the cookies placed by third-party websites after you leave this site.

Why there is no cookie consent banner
Global Cry does not currently load optional analytics, advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies that require an opt-in choice before use. For that reason, we do not display a consent banner simply for the sake of having one.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technology in the future, we will review this policy and introduce an appropriate consent mechanism before those technologies are activated where required.
Server and security information
Cookies are not the only technical information involved in operating a website. Our hosting, security and infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request logs and security events in order to deliver, maintain and protect the site. Changes to this policy
We may update this page if the technologies used by Global Cry change. The current version should always reflect the cookies and similar technologies used by the live site.
