Emergency kits

Emergency kits, built around real needs.

Start with the people and situations you are preparing for, then add light, communications, first aid, water and a sensible way to carry what matters.

Understand

What makes an emergency kit useful?

An emergency kit is a household system, not a shopping list. The useful contents depend on who is in the household, whether you expect to stay home or leave, and which normal services may be unavailable.

The core jobs are straightforward: make safe light, keep communications available, store enough drinking water, have food that works without normal cooking, cover basic first aid and medication needs, and keep important information accessible if your phone is flat or the internet is unavailable.

Products should fill a defined gap. A torch, radio or power bank earns its place because it performs a specific job; buying a large pre-packed “survival kit” does not automatically make a household better prepared.

Start with three questions
01

Who are you preparing for, including pets or accessibility needs?

02

Are you preparing to stay at home, leave quickly, or both?

03

Which essentials become difficult first if power, water or communications fail?
